  • Descrizione: When Loukas left Greece as a migrant, he left his wife Eleni pregnant with their second child. During the nineteen years of his absence in Khartoum, he often longed for his country and feverishly anticipated the day of his homecoming. When he finally goes back, accompanied by his black servant Housein, he finds himself confronted by an unexpected reality. His family ignores him and instead prefers to attend a reception held in honor of his son Andreas, who is a violin virtuoso. Also, his daughter Aliki loves a simple clerk, which makes him furious, as he had other plans for her. Thanks to all these frictions between Loukas, who wants to be a traditional father, and his children, who now have their own lives, the children decide to stay with their uncle Stamatis, Loukas’ brother, who has always been there for them like a real father.
